He graduated from the 1st Faculty of Medicine from Charles University. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Pharmacology, where he also worked on and defended his Ph.D. work in pharmacology. He is the founder of the Institute for Health Economics and Technology Assessment (iHETA) and the Director of the commercial research organization Value Outcomes. He is an external lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University Brno and the FBMI CTU Prague. He founded the information project otvorrenezdravotnictvi.cz and is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Pharmacotherapy”. Between 2019-2021, he was elected Chairman of the Czech Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Health Technology Assessment (ČSFEHZT). His main topics of interest include evaluation of medical technologies, health economics and digitization of health care.
